A judge dismisses a lawsuit filed by the widow of an officer killed on the job.
U.S. District Judge Joseph Goodwin threw out Samantha Jones' lawsuit over the death of her husband Officer Jerry Jones.
The lawsuit claimed that city officer Christopher Burford violated her husband's constitutional rights when he opened fire on Brian Goode who was ramming their cruisers with his truck in September or 2009.
A stray bullet from Burford's handgun struck Jones in the chest, killing him.
