CONFIRMED TORNADOES Three Twisters Are Confirmed In Kentucky

The National Weather Service in Jackson, Kentucky has released its preliminary findings from Friday's fatal storms. The survey team has concluded that an EF3 tornado touched down in Menifee and Morgan Counties. A separate EF3 tornado also ripped through Salyersville in Magoffin County. Finally a third EF2 tornado caused damage in Laurel County.
Winds in an EF2 tornado can be as high as 135mph and in an EF3 tornado they can be clocked as high as 165mph.
The survey team is still gathering information and will release more details shortly. We will keep you updated as that information becomes available.
