Scioto County deputies respond to a tip of alleged drug activity in the Portsmouth area and arrest three people on numerous charges.
According to a release from Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini, deputies responded to a home along Pleasant Avenue in Portsmouth, Ohio Wednesday afternoon. That's where they found the man who lived there -- 37-year old Cecil Collins, his next door neighbor - 47-year old William T. Williams, and 31-year old Sharon N. Pennington, also of Portsmouth.
Sheriff Donini says deputies arrested Collins on outstanding warrants for alleged possession of drugs, and failure to comply with a police officer. Williams was ordered to be under house arrest at the time; he and Pennington were arrested on outstanding warrants for violating rules of probation.
Detectives found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the scene. All three remain in jail.
