Big problems for folks who did called a motel efficiency in Jefferson home and it all started with a shoplifting arrest Sunday night. On Monday there was a shakedown at the Rustic Motel after a meth lab was found at the motel Sunday night and then a second lab was found Monday. Police in Dunbar arrested Derrick Walker and Jennifer Chapman Sunday night for shoplifting and say the two had meth on them and a key to a room at the motel. When Kanawha County deputies got to the motel they say they found Sandy Glaude inside along with a meth lab that they believe had been cooked a few hours earlier. "It's fine one night and the next day there's cops and Hazmat teams," A woman who lived next to the room where the meth lab was found said. She did not want to be identified. She was staying with her family, including two 3-month-old babies, in the room. They had complained about smelling a strong chemical odor, and know they know what it was. "It being in the air it could hurt anybody," she says. "It's awful, I don't understand how this can happen." And after searching the motel efficiency Monday police uncovered another meth lab in a backpack behind some of the rooms. They're still working to find out who it belongs to. But it means more trouble for this motel and everyone who lives here, the main section of the motel has been condemned and everyone has been evicted. All three people who were arrested are facing meth related charges. Glaude is facing an additional charge of endangering a child because of the babies next door and police are still looking for a man named Terry Mull. ------------------------- Police busted an apparent meth lab in at a motel in Jefferson.
