A man who was run over with a tractor on his farm on Wednesday is lucky to be alive.
Prichard Firefighters tell us that it appears the man, who was the owner of that Wayne County farm, was standing beside the tractor when he started it and it rolled back onto his right leg. The accident happened around 11:30am Wednesday.
Firefighters tell us the ground was so soft that it helped cushion the blow to the man's leg. We're told the victim was responsive when emergency crews arrived, and even able to talk to them. He was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington and is expected to be okay.
