A Braxton County woman is behind bars after she allegedly hit a deputy with her car during a police chase.
Troopers say they tried to pull over Stacie Stout for a routine traffic stop on Route 15 in Sutton.
They say Stout refused to pull over, and even hit a deputy's leg with her car while trying to get away.
The deputy fired his pistol, but Stout still wouldn't stop.
Stout eventually lost control of her car, causing it to flip.
Stout is charged with fleeing in a vehicle while driving under the influence, DUI second offense, reckless driving and three counts of obstructing an officer. More charges are pending.
The deputy was treated for minor injuries, but is expected to recover.
