The WV State Supreme Court will have to decide what to do with the sheriff of Mason County.
The Mason County Commission filed a 20 page petition to get rid of Sheriff David Anthony.
Recently, Anthony was charged with several felonies and misdemeanor ranging from wanton endangerment to embezzlement.
A three judge panel will review the petition.
Sheriff David Anthony released the following statement, he says, "I assumed the commission intended to file the petition. I haven't seen it, so I can't comment on the petition itself. As far as the charges, I maintain my innocence and the truth will come out in court."
We will have much more on this story later tonight on Eyewitness News.
