You may have been wondering where winter is. Well, it's finally here. The wintery mix is bringing out mixed opinions from people in Charleston.

"I'm not a skier so I like to get out in the woods and bike a little bit," said Charleston resident, Bruce Goldfarb.

"When we do get it, I'm happy," said Dewey Beezley of Charleston.

"The older I get the more I prefer warmer weather," said David Donathan of Charleston.

Warmer weather is exactly what has thrown off a lot of people since Charleston hasn't seen much of a winter over the past few months.

Saturday's snowfall is the second one of February. Typically, Charleston sees a normal snowfall of about ten inches in the month of February. Last year, Charleston had less than three inches and last month, only five inches.

With a small amount of snowfall, salt trucks had few problems tackling the slick spots. In fact, they say they enjoy doing it. "Our drivers are out there, they're loving it. This is what they're trained to do. They've been training since September, making sure their instruments are collabrated and in good working order," said spokesperson from the Department of Transportation, Brent Walker.

A typical February snowfall or a break in a warm streak? Either way, some will take what we can get and others are ready to prepare for more.

"It's nice and everything but hopefully it won't last long," said Goldfarb.

"If we could order more, I would," said Beezley.
