Three people, including a police officer, are injured after an accident on I-64 in Cabell County Saturday morning.
It happened in the eastbound lanes near Milton shortly before 10am.
Dispatchers say the Milton officer stopped to help a car on the side of the road, when a car rear-ended his cruiser. That caused the officer to hit the first car.
The officer, a person in the first car and a person in the second car were all taken to the hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The eastbound lanes were shut down for several hours while crews cleaned up the wreckage.
