A small community in Kentucky will be buzzing about a million dollar drug bust this morning. Kentucky State Police say they've found more than a million dollars' worth of pain pills in coordinated Pike County raids.
Three search warrants were executed Thursday in the Ashcamp community of Pike County, according to KSP Trooper Shaun Little. Detectives confiscated large quantities of Oxycodone and Xanax pills and estimated the street value of the seized drugs at more than $1,000,000. Also seized was about $80,000 in cash and several firearms.
The seizures follow an 18-month investigation by the KSP, the FBI and agents of Operation UNITE. Little said in a news release that federal indictments are pending in the case.
