Charleston Police need your help to find the person who shot a man on the city's West Side early Sunday morning.
It all unfolded around 2:00 a.m. outside of the Kick Back Bar. Police say Larry Crews was shot twice by a man across the street on Central Avenue.
Crews ran for help and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Luckily, police say a surveillance camera captured the shooter while he fired off shots at Crews. Bringing them one step closer to narrowing in on a suspect.
"Not very often do we get that type of information when there's actually an eyewitness to the crime," said Lt. Steve Cooper, Chief of Detectives.
Talishia Johannes has owned the Kick Back for three years. She says her bar has been criticized for the violence that's unfolded along Central Avenue. She's fed up and desperate for something to change.
"I cannot constantly be the blame and I don't want my neighbors angry with me that I own this bar. If this bar is here or not, these same things are going to happen over here is how I feel," explained Johannes.
Talishia says she's done everything in her power to keep the violence away from her business. But still, shots continue to ring out.
"I've tried you know, and I'm going to keep trying. We're just running a safe, little neighborhood bar. That's pretty much it," said Johannes.
Crews' condition is unknown at this time.
Anyone with information on the shooting should call Charleston Detectives at (304) 348-6480.
