The State Fire Marshal says the apartment fire that has left more than a dozen people without a home was intentionally set. Police tell us they are questioning a person of interest at this time.
The fire happened late Thursday night in the 800 block of 9th Avenue in Huntington. Thankfully, everyone was able to make it out safely at this time.
The Salvation Army is helping the people who called that apartment building home.

A massive fire destroyed an apartment building in Huntington late Thursday night.
Firefighters got the call around 11:30pm that an apartment building in the 800 block of West 9th Street was burning. Buildings around it were evacuated because of possible exposure problems.
We have been told that 20 people live in those 6 apartments and that everyone was able to get out safely. The Salvation Army is assisting those residents who lost their homes.

Huntington firefighters are on the scene of an fully involved apartment fire in the 800 block of west 9th street in Huntington.
Dispatchers tell Eyewitness News that the call came in around 11:30pm.
We do know that about 20 people live in the building and everyone inside got out safely.
There are some exposure problems so surrounding buildings are being evacuated.
