Hurricane High School Junior, Jacob Ball was killed Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a CSX train behind the school. Police say Jacob was walking along the train tracks near Teays Valley Road around 4pm Tuesday. Friends of Jacob say he would always walk around with headphones in his ears. Investigators think that may be the reason why Jacob didn't hear the train coming. Several students were around when the accident happened. A Facebook page has been created in Jacob's memory; it's titled "In Memory Of Jacob Ball 02/07/1995 to 01/31/2012."
