A Metro 911 operator has been arrested for inappropriately touching a teenager.
Joseph Coen Jr., of Charleston, is accused of sexual abuse by parent, guardian or custodian.
Eyewitness News is told Coen has worked for the city of Charleston, WV and Metro 911 for about 30 years.
The 51-year-old has been suspended with pay until the investigation is complete.
Kanawha County Commission President, Kent Carper says an internal investigation has been launched and released this statement: "It is with deepest regret I have learned of the charges against Mr. Coen. I am directing staff to conduct an internal investigation into this matter."
Kanawha County Prosecutor Mark Plants says they tape these types of cases very seriously.
"Both children and the elderly can't take care of themselves often times and those types of cases really pull at your heart-strings and we have a special moral obligation to take care of those who can't take care of themselves," said Plants.
Coen, who is out on bond, could face up to 20 years in prison if found guilty.
