The charges continue to pile up for a man featured on our Fugitives Files. His latest arrest landed him in the hospital.
Desean Saunders was shot while police say he was trying to rob a pizza delivery driver Friday night and today we have learned investigators say this is nothing new to him.
Saunders has two active warrants out of Charleston where police say he lured pizza delivery drivers to an apartment on Charleston's West Side, assaulted the drivers, stole their money and their pizzas. Both incidents happened just days apart back in November.
Last Friday, sheriff's deputies in Putnam County say Saunders tried to rob a Husson's pizza delivery driver at the Sable Point apartments in Teays Valley, but the plan backfired because the driver shot Saunders.
Our viewers helped lock him up back in September when he was profiled on Fugitive Files for allegedly robbing Smiley's in Jefferson and Joli's in Nitro, but he was able to bond out and police say put more people in danger.
Saunders is still in the hospital, but he is expected to be released soon. When he is, he will be charged with the all three of those pizza delivery driver robberies.
