Kentucky Department of Highways crews in Carter County will temporarily close part of KY 1496 near Willard on Wednesday, January 25, to replace a drainage pipe underneath the roadway.
The road work, and closure, will take place approximately 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at mile marker 6.0 between Black Hollow Road and Detour Road (about a mile west of KY 1). The work is not expected to impact school bus traffic, but other traffic will have to reroute along KY 1, KY 773, KY 7 or local roads.
