The Mountain Mission received a big donation for a new multipurpose building Monday morning.
The President of American Electric Power made the $75,000 dollar presentation from the AEP foundation.
That money will go for the new building project on Charleston's west side -- which will be located right across from the Mission's current headquarters. The center will serve as a place to help people get back on their feet.
The proposed million dollar center will have a gym and outreach opportunities for job learning skills and health education.
