It may sound like a chain gang but a couple of Ohio judges are rethinking how to punish some first-time felony offenders.
Two common pleas judges in Lawrence county are considering putting them on a farm growing vegetables.
If established, it would be a community service program that would target minor felons who are not eligible for prison because of a change last year in state law.
The judges say the program would allow first-time Ohio offenders to grow vegetables that the jail and local senior centers can use while teaching them job skills.
