West Virginia claimed its third BCS Bowl game win Wednesday in Miami against the Clemson Tigers.
The Mountaineers routed the Tigers with a record-setting 70-33 in the Discover Card Orange Bowl. WVU set a bowl game scoring record with the 70 point victory. The team also set a record for the highest scoring half in any bowl game. Tavon Austin's four TD catches tied the record for number of catches in any bowl game. Quarterback Geno Smith 6 TD passes tied for the record.
In total the Mountaineers broke or tied nine bowl game records. The Mountaineers are 3-0 in BCS bowl games.
