A patient death at a state-run psychiatric hospital in Huntington is being investigated by the West Virginia State Police.
Sgt. R.D. Perry tells media outlets that the male patient at Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital was injured Dec. 28. The patient died at a local hospital. Perry says two hospital employees were involved in the incident.
The victim's body was sent to the state medical examiner for an autopsy.
