Vince Difrabrizio and his family enjoy a day of fun and games at the West Virginia Laborer's Training Center in Mineral Wells.
"It means a lot to everybody," Difrabrizio said. "You come down here and you meet a lot of people."
It is all part of the Laborers International Union membership appreciation day held every two years at the center. Difrabrizio, whose been in the military for 27 years as a combat engineer, said the training he received at the center as a union member has been invaluable. So has his service to his country. The union dedicated a memorial to veterans on Saturday.
"You can never do enough to repay the men and women who have made the personal sacrifice," Gary Tillis said.
Former Private First Class Jessica Lynch took part in the dedication ceremony. She said the memorial is a honor for all those that have served.
As for Difrabrizio, the day isn't just about fun and games, it is also about being proud for the work he and his union members do everyday.
