Charleston may be witnessing a nice little economic boost this weekend.
More than 5,000 Jehovah's Witnesses from the region are gathering at the Charleston Civic Center for a three day convention. With attendees staying in area hotels, eating at local restaurants and visiting stores, the event is expected to put more than 2,000,000 dollars into the local economy. All sessions are free and open to the public beginning and 9:30am each day. The convention ends Sunday.
