Kanawha County school leaders took sudden disciplinary action against a well known educator.
Tuesday school officials suspended Principal Lisa Woo. The Andrew Jackson Middle School principal has been with the district more than 20 years. School Board President Pete Thaw said, " I can't talk about it because its a pending personnel matter." Thaw said there is an ongoing investigation.
Area parents we're shocked to learn the news. One parent, Doug McVicker said, "It's innocent until proven guilty but whatever the situation I hope it doesn't impact the kids."
Sources told Eyewitness News Woo will probably not return to the school. Vice Principal, Rhonda Donohoe has been named Principal in the interim.
