Massey stock took a tumble in anticipation of the company releasing its 2nd quarter earnings report.
After the market closed, Massey announced it lost nearly 89 million dollars in the quarter, mostly due to the fatal explosion at the Upper Big Branch mine in April.
Massey says the Raleigh county mine is not expected to reopen anytime this year.
