A Charleston man who is part of a notorious Charleston family will stay in jail.
A judge sentenced Alexander Mallo to 1-3 years in jail for "allowing sexual abuse to happen with his knowledge in his house."
Mallo has already served more than 400 days in jail.
The judge left it up to the parole board to decide if he should be let free. Other members of the Mallo family have faced numerous charges over the last year, ranging from child neglect to sexual assault, to murder.
