Update:

A big heart and a blank check saved the life of a 9 year old Pitbull shot with arrows.
Owner, Jeremy Williams, found his home broken into and his dog shot twice with arrows Monday night.

He didn't have the money to pay for his dog's treatment.
After seeing his story on Eyewitness News, numerous people reached out and helped Williams. A teacher at George Washington High School gave Williams a blank check for the operation.

Williams also received other donations from concerned viewers.
Toby underwent surgery and is doing well.
He is expected to make a full recovery.

A Cross Lanes man's house is broken into overnight, and the burglars allegedly shot his dog with a bow and arrow.

Jeremy Williams say he came home late last night to see that his house was burglarized, and his nine-year-old pit bull Toby was bleeding pretty badly.

One arrow went through and is still stuck in his jaw, the other is in between the shoulder blades.

Williams just returned from a tour of duty overseas and says he can't afford to pay for vet care right now. He's reaching out for help.
