When the handcuffs go on - an accused shop lifter in Saint Albans creates quite a scene.
It happened just after 4p.m. Monday afternoon at the St. Albans Kmart.
St. Albans police say Deputy C.M. Morgan attempted to arrest 22 -year old Zachary Bailey of Cross Lanes, but once Bailey was cuffed, he fought Morgan off - pulling away so hard that he broke right through the glass - pulling Morgan along for the ride.
St. Albans Police provided this picture, where you can see the broken glass and blood left behind.
Bailey received numerous cuts to both his face and arms. He is charged with assault on and obstructing a police officer along with disorderly conduct and shoplifting.
