The family of shooting victim is upset with the latest delay in trying two people accused of shooting Joshua Dearien on a downtown Charleston Street.
Ricky Walker's malicious wounding trial set for Monday was moved back to May after his newly hired lawyer told a judge that public defenders were slow in proving information about the case they originally handled to him.
Dearien, a bar bouncer, was shot back in November 2008
Outside a nightclub on Capitol Street during a fight with Walker.
Because Walker's trial was pushed back, the trial of co-defendant Reva Landers was also delayed.
Prosecutors plan to meet with Dearien's family to try to explain the long delay in getting the case to trial.
