There are new details on the 15 year old boy who police said shot and killed two people in Kanawha City.
Reports said the child was recently released from a juvenile detention center and enrolled at Capital High School two weeks before his arrest. Capital Principal, Clinton Giles said ays he did not know the teens background.
The communication breakdown between juvenile court system and local schools is an issue at Capital and on several other campuses. Kanawha County Prosecutor, Mark Plants said more kids are committing more violent crimes than ever before. Plants said, "I'm going to set up a program where there is seamless communication between circuit court, juvenile court and juvenile probation and my office with all Vice Principals and Principals in Kanawha County. Plants said there is a process in place where the juvenile courts system notifies the proper school authorities about potentially dangerous kids. We're told in the case of the 15 year old murder suspect from capital that the process was not followed in a timely manner.
