Some school kids may not get a full summer vacation this year.
Kanawha County school leaders are considering two school calendars. One is traditional with class beginning August 23rd. The other has class starting August 10th. This comes in response to lawmakers pushing to enforce 180 instructional days in a school year. School leaders have opened the issue up to faculty and staff for consideration. A final vote is scheduled for the first week of April.
