POLICE SHOOTING Search Underway for Shooting Suspect

The search continues for a man who shot an Oak Hill police officer.
Cpl. Chris Young was shot around 4:30 this morning.
Police credit a bullet proof vest with saving Young's life. He was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and then released.
The shooter is a black male driving a large black or dark colored 4-door sedan with Ohio tags.
The search focused between Montgomery and Oak Hill.
School buses were detoured. Police had several roads blocks along WV Route 61.
