This is a sight that hasn't been seen since 1982. The sixth-seeded Sissonville Indians gunning for a state basketball title on the hardwood of the Charleston Civic Center.
The last time the Indians were here, current Sissonville students weren't even born.
Winners of 15 games in a row, Sissonville punched its ticket to the big dance and earned the right to take on Number three Weir in the tournament opener.
Although Sissonville pulled to within two points in the fourth quarter, the Red Riders captured the victory.
But fans of the Class AA Kanawha County school say the loss doesn't tarnish the team's accomplishments.
Sissonville finishes the season with a 19-5 record.
