Charles Cobb's mailbox is having an identity crisis.
Is it Arron's Fork or Poca River Road? As far as Cobb is concerned take your pick, he doesn't have a clue which one is right. For Cobb it's not just confusing, it could be dangerous. "If you call an ambulance or fire department, which address would you give them?", Charles Cobb. It all started in October when Metro 911 assigned the Arron's Fork address because a project aimed at getting emergency services out to rural areas more quickly and efficiently. 90,000 residents in Kanawha County were given addresses under the program. Then, Cobb says he got a letter from the post office with the Poca River Road address. Cobb says the only thing consistent about his mail is his name. He recently received three different bills with three different addresses. They all get delivered, but Cobb says he's worried that will eventually stop. Address coordinator Josh Knox says the Metro 911 addresses are correct. Cobb has called this house home for ten years, now he just wants to know exactly where he lives. If you have any questions about the Metro 911 address program log on www.metro911.org.
