The search is expected to go until dark for a missing firefighter presumed drowned in last Saturday's flooding in Raleigh County.
Water level in Piney and Beaver creeks is dropping, but they are still uncertain if the missing Glasgow fireman is in the water, under a pile of flood debris, or swept miles away downstream in the New River. After his wetsuit was found in Piney Creek about ten miles from the river, most of the effort has been there. State Fire Marshal Sterling lewis said: " Yeah, it's a real tough situation. You have so much area to cover and you have so many obstacles that built up in the river due to the flood. "
Searchers also went back to the area where Donnie Adkins was tossed into Beaver Creek when his boat overturned after rescuing 13 people early Saturday morning.
