Another envelope from the federal government.
This one, however, won't cost you anything, except a few minutes of your time. The 2010 census will help divide up $400 billion worth of funding across the country. The census is done every ten years, that is why it's important for everyone to be counted to cities not only get what they need, but what they deserve. For places like Charleston, a few people can mean a lot. The city doesn't want to fall under 50,000, although if that happens money will still come in, it just might not be as much. You are supposed to answer the ten questions on the census for each person living in your home and mail it back in the envelope provided. If you don't do so by April 1, 2010, expect a census tracker to come by and collect it.
