It just opened this week, but the lunch bunch is already flocking to Bistro Express.
With a menu consisting of soups, salads and sandwiches, along with ready to heat and eat entrees, Chef Robert Wong hopes to duplicate the success of his already well-established Bridge Road Bistro.
Wong says he's developed a strategy to serve Charleston professionals who are looking to grab a quick midday meal.
The chef adds that although several downtown restaurants have recently closed he thinks his new venture has a good chance of succeeding. But as with any eatery, it all depends on how customers like the food.
Early reviews are very positive. Bistro Express is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It's located at 700 Virginia Street East in downtown Charleston.
