The South Eastern part of the state saw major flooding over the weekend, meaning Monday people were picking up the pieces.
Flooding across the county has left many people with nothing. We went to Pratt where one family there says in only a matter of minutes everything they owned was gone.
Angie Cooper says Saturday's storm has changed her life forever.
She, along with her husband and three kids were living in the basement of her parent's home in Pratt.
Sewage backed up into their home and water from Paint Creek came pouring in, ruining everything.
Saturday roughly 1 1/2 inches of rain fell in Knawha County. While that doesn't seem like enough to cause this kind of damage, the problem was the ground was already saturated.
Since the Kanawha River was close to flood stage already, more rain caused Paint Creek to back up and into Angie's yard. She says they don't have flood insurance but have contacted FEMA for assistance.
