Three weeks after a parent got in trouble for allegedly threatening violence at a school a school employee has landed in a similar situation.
Kanawha County Schools Suspended a bus driver after a grandparent said she overheard him threaten Dunbar Middle School. The Grandparent, Carol Bass said, " He (The driver) said if he worked there he would line every kid up and shoot them."
The driver had just exited the building where school leaders said he had a minor altercation with some of the kids inside. We're told the driver was discussing the encounter with another adult, with no kids in sight and Bass overheard.
Kanawha County Schools Director of Transportation, George Beckett said, "We are looking at the bus surveillance video to determine the intent of what was said."
In an effort of full disclosure we must report Carol Bass is the mother of Eyewitness News Reporter, Kennie Bass. Bass has no children at Dunbar Middle school and was not involved in the gathering, writing or editing of this story.
