Farley Rhodes, 32, plead guilty to murder and told everyone in the courtroom what he did.
Rhodes says he sprayed his girlfriend, Starlena Pratt, with lighter fluid and lit her on fire.
Pratt survived on life support 30 day in 2008 before dying from the severe burns.
As a part of the plea, the Kanawha County Prosecutor's Office dropped the arson charge against Rhodes.
Rhodes will be sentenced in May; he can get life with or without mercy.
Meanwhile, Starlena Pratt will live on with the "Starlena Pratt Foundation", an all-in-one location for domestic violence victims in Kanawha County to get the help they need.
