If you don't want to spend forever clipping coupons, welcome to the next generation of savings. Stores like Target are launching mobile coupons that you can download right to your cell phone and have the bar code scanned when you checkout.

Rachel Detec is the executive team leader guest experience at the South Charleston Target. She said, "We have decided with the growing cell phone usage throughout the country, we're gonna jump on the bandwagon, and we're going to starting sending our guests coupons through their cell phones."

Even for folks who say they aren't as tech savvy as others, they can appreciate the convenience. Jill Mullins said, "There are so many people with cell phones, and so many people who use them, so I believe they would, yes, and I like coupons myself, so I use them."

With folks who are still struggling in this economy, they'll take advantage of anything to save some money. "I'm laid off right now, so anything that can help save just a little bit of money would help," Matt Olson said. He said he uses his cell phone for everything, and this is definitely something he can take advantage of.

That's the goal for companies branching out more and more to the mobile community. "Anybody wants to save money, so anything that we can can do to , you know, get that shopping list in under their budget, is absolutely something that we're willing to do. If that means coupons going mobile, then that's what we'll have to do to get those coupons to our guests," said Detec.

A lot of wireless companies already have applications you can download to get grocery coupons, and more and more stores are getting on board with mobile coupons.
