Two highways that were shut down since 8:30a.m. Tuesday morning are back open. A tanker truck, carrying maleic acid over turned in Kenova. Luckily nothing spilled onto the roadway. It happened at the interseciton of U.S. 52 and State Route 75 in Wayne County. Both roads were closed and residents were asked to leaves their homes for a short time as a precaution. Maleic acid is used as an oil and fat preservative. The roads opened up around 9:30p.m. Tuesday evening.
