Winter Weather Snow And Ice Force Schools To Close

Schools in Kanawha and Cabell counties are closed and there are delays throughout the area as a fast moving winter snowstorm put up to 3" on the ground throughout our area.
Viewers are reporting very poor driving conditions, including one from Marmet who says the Turnpike was at a standstill around 5:30 a.m. because of snow and ice.
The snow is expected to turn to rain later today, but will return again tonight and could dump another six inches by the time the snow event is over.
