The north bound lanes of the West Virginia Turnpike are back open after a multi car accident closed it earlier Monday evening.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. this evening at the 71 mile marker near Paint Creek.

Emergency workers tell us five vehicles and a tractor trailer were involved in the crash.

Minor injuries were reported.

Crews worked for more than two hours to clean up a large amount of desiel that spilled onto the roadway.
