The lines of communication were weak yet strong enough for Faithe Claxton to hear the desperation in her father, John Haiti's voice.
When they spoke on the phone Hanson said, "There was a two room school that collapsed and you can hear the children screaming and crying there and everywhere around us there's just dust. It looks like a bomb went off." Together Claxton and Hanson run International Missions Outreach. She's stationed in Clendenin. He's station in Haiti. For more than 30 years they've been on the ground building clinics, school and churches. Some of those efforts were destroyed in Tuesday's earthquake. Claxton said they've seen tragedy before but never anything to this magnitude. Thousands are still trapped under collapsed buildings. Millions are without water and power. Some reports say hundreds of thousands have died. Hanson said, "It's mass chaos and the thing of it is it's going into day three no food no water it's terrible
Claxton and IMO joined with dozens of aide groups and the United States Government to get help to this already poverty stricken country. She said it's times like this when she'll live up to her name and her family's mission.
