About 70 Frontier Communications workers are telling lawmakers today that the huge customer base Frontier will gain will allow them to handle the deal financially. While it's the Public Service Commission making the call on the sale of Verizon's landlines, the Communications Workers of America, the state consumer advocate and others are questioning Frontier's financial ability to survive after the merger. The Frontier lobbying effort came as the PSC conducted hearings into the proposed purchase.
