An elderly couple and their son are the only holdouts in what's become a modern day ghost town in Boone County. Lindytown--in the shadow of a Massey mountaintop removal mine--has been bought out by the coal company to keep people clear of blasting, dust and flying rocks. Houses are vacant and boarded up, but Lawrence and Quinnie Richmond, in their 80's, are not selling and aren't moving. However, that does not mean the Richmonds are against mountaintop removal. Lawrence Richmond said too many jobs are at stake to block the mine. He says he'll take his chances and stay put in the house where the couple has been living for 62 years.
