More than 50 Steel of West Virginia workers will be out of work by the end of November.
The company says the layoffs of 53 workers will leave the company with about 300 employees.
The layoffs are being blamed on a weak economy and a slowdown of construction and highway projects during the winter.
The laid-off workers will be recalled when business picks up.
