Local students will soon say bye bye Bonham. In a unanimous vote Thursday night school leaders decided to close the flood prone elementary school and set into motion their Sissonville school reorganization plan. The plan will send most Bonham kids in grades K-4 to Flinn Elementary and change Sissonville Middle School to a 5-8 campus. The plan was originally met with friction by parents but school leaders calmed those concerns by guaranteeing no children would move until renovations at Flinn and Sissonville middle were complete. The earliest the school would close would be the end of the 09-10 school year.
