Usually when drivers travel down Fourth Avenue, they see the Keith-Albee, one of the oldest, most prestigious buildings in all of Huntington. But for the past week all drivers are noticing is vandalism.

"It destroys a beautiful building," Kacie Stoll said. "It's been here for years."

"It's such a beautiful building and a hallmark of the city, actually," Joel Hankins said. "And to see spray paint on the top of the building is just not what we're trying to achieve in downtown Huntington."

In blue and black ink, the words "Drop Beats" has been sprayed into the brick near the top of the building.

"I saw it and was pretty aggravated to say the least," David Tyson said.

Tyson is the co-president of the Keith-Albee and he calls the spray paint a black eye. Others have different names.

"Trashy," Kaila Stoll said.

"An eyesore," Hankins said.

"Probably tacky," Kacie Stoll said.

Tyson says no matter how you look at it, the vandalism is unacceptable. Now they're prepared to pay a $1,000 reward, hoping to catch the responsible party.

And whoever is responsible, Tyson says he plans to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

"This will be more than a slap on the fingers," Tyson said. "It's one thing to attack private businesses, it's another to attack a center piece of our community."

Tyson says the graffiti should be cleaned off by next week.
