Charleston Police are investigating a West Side shooting that happened Wednesday morning.
But they don't know if its an accident, or if somebody pulled the trigger on purpose.
Investigators say a man was working on the roof of Young's Department Store fixing a surveillance camera when he sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest.
There are conflicting reports as to what happened.
Initially it was believed to be an accident, but police say they aren't finished with their investigation into the possibility that something else happened.
First responders had to get the victim down off of the roof before taking him to Charleston General.
His name and condition have not been released.
